Woodrow Wilson Reeves
W. Wilson Reeves was born August 20, 1919, in Thomaston, Georgia. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and jointed the army as an enlisted man in 1940. While on leave in 1941, he married Kathleen Ferguson. Mr. Reeves was with the combat engineers. In 1943 he received a battlefield commission while fighting in Italy. Mr. Reeves rose to the rank of major in the U>.S. Army reserves. Mr. Reeves was the vice president of materials management during his thirty year career with Foote & Davies. He was an avid golfer and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen Ferguson Reeves and two sisters in law: Willa F. JonesHilliard and Renee F. Tiller Sid and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 13, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel at Northside United Methodist Church. After the service, family and friends are invited to gather at the home of Willa and Bud Jones, 4735 Millbrook Drive, NW, Atlanta, GA.
