William “Bill” Henry Schneidewind, Jr., CLU passed away on January 31, 2019 at the age of 91. Bill was born in Verona, NJ on January 10, 1928. He attended Verona High School and later graduated from Rutgers University. Bill served in both World War 2 and Korea for the Army, where he was 1st Lieutenant. He was assigned to Japan during both wars. Upon graduation from Rutgers, Bill married his wife, Bobbie, in 1951. They were married for 67 happy years. Bill joined The John Hancock Insurance Company, where he worked for 64 years, spanning New Jersey, Boston, and finally moved to Atlanta in 1973. He was very active in all aspects of the business and loved his job. Bill and Bobbie enjoyed traveling, and they traveled the world many times over. He was a member of Cherokee Town and Country Club, the Midtown Rotary, Mariners Mutual V, and he was very proud to be an Eagle Scout. Bill is survived by his wife, Bobbie, his two children, son Bill III, and daughter Donna Gilli (Marcel MD), 9 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson,and sister Elizabeth Wiedersheim . A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 8 at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in the Kellett Chapel at 10:30 AM. Reception to follow.
