“Aunt Faye Faye” leaves behind nephews David and Joy Edge of Anchorage Alaska; Tommy and Vicky Edge of Rocky Face, Georgia; Scott Edge of Resaca, Georgia; Wesley Sluder of Columbus, Georgia; and nieces Melanie and Chris Mummert of Columbus, Georgia; Nancy Springate of Colorado Springs, Colorado. So many special friends and neighbors shared her life, sister-in-law Faye Weightman of Evansville, Indiana; Shannon and Robert Drew of Colbert, Georgia; Patsy and Fred Myers of Conyers, Georgia and Becky Baile of Conyers, Georgia. They will miss conversations and adventures, while cherishing memories of her.

Wanda was a true “steel magnolia” formerly of the Dalton area, married, and moved to their beloved farm in Conyers. She will be remembered as a steward of nature and gardener that transformed her home into a sanctuary for both flora and fauna. Wanda enjoyed her career at the United States Post Office of Conyers and leaves behind many friends and memories of her mail delivery days. She would tell you her life’s most important work was that of being a wife to Carl and sharing their lives together with many travels and adventures. Her devotion to Carl and to the Lord was evident in the way she lived her life the devotion she gave to both.

A service to honor Wanda’s life will be held July 8th, 2018 At Rockdale Baptist Church in Conyers, Georgia. The Reverend Ken Sirmans will officiate the service at 3:30 PM. The family will receive friends at 3:00 PM at the church.
