Virginia O'Brien Kelly

Virginia Ginny O’Brien Kelly of Roswell, Georgia passed suddenly at church, Sunday, November 24, 2013, she was 83. The youngest of four, she was born in the Chicago area, March 7, 1930. A graduate of Michigan State University, she utilized her education degree teaching 3rd grade and speech pathology. She raised her family in Birmingham, Michigan and for the last 25 years made her home in Roswell, Georgia. She was a member of the Junior League of Birmingham, Michigan and Atlanta, Georgia and volunteered as a teacher’s assistant. She was a member of Country Club of Roswell, where she greatly enjoyed golf, dancing and served as president of the Women’s Golf Association. She was also the official golf photographer she had been deemed legal blind. She is survived by her loving husband Thomas Tom G. Kelly; sons Andrew MacGregor of Hubertus, WI, Charles MacGregor of Pleasanton, CA, Peter MacGregor of Rockford, MI; daughter Virginia MacGregor Aylesworth of Elmhurst IL; and 9 grandchildren. As well as Tom’s five children and 10 grandchildren. She is remembered for her love of family, friends, her open heart and wonderful sense humor.
