Velma J. Royster

Velma Royster was born on June 12, 1951 in Jamaica Queens, New York. She spent a good portion of her life in New York until her family moved south, to Georgia in the early 1970’s.

She lived and worked many years in Atlanta, GA as an Executive Assistant at Spelman College as well as Clark Atlanta University. She also continued in later years working as an Administrative Assistant for Hamilton House Nursing & Rehab in Columbus, GA.

She is preceded in death by four of her siblings.

She is survived by her mother and two children, a daughter and son. Along with her sister and a bonus sister, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
