Timothy Garrett McNally

Timothy Garrett McNally, 75, of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Tim studied at the University of Missouri, Whitworth College, and Northwestern School of Investment Banking. The majority of his career was spent as an investment banker. He was a long time champion for the homeless and those struggling in recovery. He was an avid historian and loved folk music. He loved sports and was an excellent athlete, with football and rugby being his favorite sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marti McNally of Joplin, Missouri. He is survived by his wife, Jan Gish-McNally of Marietta, step children, Ryan Gish of San Francisco, CA, Erin Mears (Bradley) of Oceanside, CA, Katharine Gish of Atlanta, GA, sister-in-law, Lisa Mathis of Marietta, GA and a sister, Sheridan McNally Barnett (Jim) of Cincinnati, Ohio.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 10:00am at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, 87 Lacy St, Marietta, Ga, officiated by Monsiegnor John Walsh. A reception will follow the service.
A honorarium to celebrate the many years of support Tim provided to this group will be held on Saturday, August 12th , 3:00pm at 8111 Roswell Rd, Atlanta, GA.
