Sylvia Head

Sylvia Head, 91, of Suwanee, GA, entered into Heaven on August 6, 2024. She was preceded in death by Claude Head, her husband of 60 years. She is survived by her daughters Debra Scott and Donna Tyner, 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Sylvia served the Lord faithfully as a Sunday school teacher for 40 years. She enjoyed singing in the choir and participating in mission activities at her church.

One of her many hobbies was to crochet baby hats and blankets which she donated to local hospitals. She was also a volunteer at Johns Creek Hospital in its early years.

In her later years, Sylvia lived at Heartis Senior Living Center where she was very active and where she made a lot of new and lasting friendships.

Sylvia’s family and friends will gather at a later date to celebrate her life and honor her memory.

She will be entombed with her husband in a private ceremony at Georgia National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
