Bob Shinn passed away at home September 16th peacefully with his wife, Vy at his side in Marietta, GA. He was two days shy of his 87th birthday. Bob was born on September 18th, 1929 in Kansas City, MO and was raised in Detroit, MI. During his college years, he was an accomplished jazz musician playing the sax and clarinet in “swing bands” to earn his way through college. Initially, Bob attended Adrian College and then transferred to Bowling Green State University graduating in 1951 with a degree in Business Administration. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. From 1951-1953, he served his country in the Army during the Korean War where he was stationed in Panama, Central America as cryptographer. In his leisure time he enjoyed golfing, deep sea fishing and fine dining, especially Dim-Sum.

As an old school businessman, Bob did wish it to be known that “He never turned on a #*&% computer.”
