Sharon Esther Myers

Mrs. Sharon Deitering Myers passed away August 12, 2015. She was born October 17, 1935 in Bancroft, Iowa and moved to Atlanta in 1958. She was a graduate of St. Louis University and Georgia State University. She retired from the Dekalb County School System in 1998 where she worked as a special education teacher for twenty-two years. Death was due to a combination of complications from Parkinson’s disease.

Her husband, Atlanta attorney Paul C. Myers, predeceased her in 1991. Surviving are two sons, Douglas E. Myers Heather, and Elliot L. Myers Laura, one daughter, Anne E. Myers, four grandsons, Cory, Cameron Amy, Curran and Jacob Myers and one granddaughter, Sarah Myers, and one great-grandson, Clyde McKenzie Myers.
Graveside services will be held Saturday September 5, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Arlington Cemetery in Sandy Springs, GA with Our Lady of the Assumption officiating.
