Ruthanne,
It was a pleasure working with you! Thank you for everything you have done for the profession of pharmacy and our students at the University of Colorado. You will be missed!

It is with great regret that I learned about Dr. Ramsey’s passing. I was a former student of hers in the NTPD program at University of Colorado and have fond memories of her as an instructor. She was always seemed so up-beat and passionate about teaching with the NTPD program.
You’ll be deeply missed for your dedication, faith and kindness. God bless your soul!
It is with a deep sadness that I heard of the recent passing of Dr. Ruthanne Ramsey. As a pharmacist working with geriatrics, she has been my inspiration for the past 20 years when I first learned of her work through our Pharmacy and the Golden Years Project at the University of Albert and heard her speak at our annual pharmacy conference in Banff, Alberta. I was fortunate, also, to have her as a professor during my NTPD program with the University of Colorado in 2008. She was an exceptional pharmacist, teacher and individual and our profession was lucky to have her as one of our foremost leaders and role models in our journey toward patient-focused, pharmaceutical care. She will be missed.
Dr. Ramsey was an outstanding clinical instructor and I was fortunate to have been a student of hers while attending the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy Non-traditional Doctor of Pharmacy program. From the very first class she taught, it was evident that she cared greatly for her students and the field of pharmacy. She always seemed to bring the best out in her students, and I was no exception. Although her classes were demanding and tough, they were among my favorite of the program. She left an indelible mark on me as a student and it is my wish that I can some day be as good a teacher as she was to her students.
To Dr. Ramsey’s family and friends, my thoughts and prayers go out to you. May God give you comfort and peace during this time of loss.
Deepest sympathies and heart felt sorrow to Dr. Ramsey’s family. She was a great educator whom I am better for having the pleasure of being one of her many students. She will never be forgotten and always remembered as a great person.
It is with great sadness to hear of Dr. Ramsey’s passing. As a recent student of Dr. Ramsey in the NTPD program 2011, her dedication in teaching and her care for the students are fresh in my memory. I wish Dr. Ramsey’s family and friends a smooth transition through this difficult time.
It is with regret and sorrow, I received the news about ruthann’s death. God bless her soul . My condolences to her family
Dr. Ramsey was a wonderful, caring teacher. I still consider her Instructional Methods class in the UC-Denver NTPD program the toughest class I took, and the grade I received is the one of which I am most proud. She helped me complete the class while taking care of a sick child. I still refer to what she taught me whenever I am creating a lecture or CE program. Her grace was always evident. Even though I have not had contact with her for a few years, I will miss her and thank her for touching my life.
I’m sorry for your loss. I never met Dr. Ramsy, but she was the best instructor I had during my PharmD training. I’ll always remember her teaching style and strive to be like her. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I’m very sorry for your loss. I was hopping to meet Dr. Ramsey in person during my graduation in May, but unfortunately was never able to. She was one of the best instructors I had during my PharmD training. Her classes were demanding and tough, but I am very thankful because I was able to learn so much from her. I feel very lucky that I had Dr. Ramsey as my teacher and I will always keep her in my memories.
I was deeply saddened to hear of Dr. Ramsey’s loss. My thoughts are with her family. She was such a great instructor and I always refer to what I learned in her class.
Please accept my condolences and be strong & patient.
At this time of loss, may you find comfort in happy memories and in knowing others sympathize and care. Wishing you the strength to sustain you during this difficult time and the healing that soothes both mind and spirit. PEACE BE UPON HER SOLE
PEACE BE UPON HER SOUL!
Dr. Ramsey was a very dear and dedicated educator. I learned a lot of life lessons just from being in her class. She was very gracious and kind and I really wanted to meet her, yikes. May her soul rest in peace and may her loved ones be comforted. Thank you for impacting my life in such a positive way.

I had the prevelige of studying under Dr Ramsey twice as a pharmacy student in 1990 and in the Non-traditional program again in 2010. The experience with her was very valuable. She offered her students high quality teaching and a warm heart. She was one of my favorite teachers.
I would like to send my deepest condolences to the family of Ruthanne Ramsey. She was my teacher in the NTPD program. It was always a comfort to me that Dr. Ramsey was a teacher residing in Georgia since I am so far away from my original home. She was fair and I learned a great deal from her course. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Ruthanne’s family and to let you know what a gem she was. I had the pleasure of working with Ruthanne through the NTPD program and she and I corresponded with each other often over the course of 8 years before I retired almost 2 years ago. Ruthanne was very intelligent, professional, dedicated, detailed oriented, and her contributions will be a great loss for the NTPD program and to all that had the pleasure to know her.
I received the news of Dr Ruthanne Ramsey’s death with sadness. She was a kind and caring educator who had a great passion for teaching. I was one of her students. Life is a journey that could be short or long. May almighty and merciful God give her family the fortitude to bear this tragic loss.
I was saddened at the passing of Dr. Ramsey. She was a great teacher and I enjoyed her classes. She was one of the instructors that I wished I had met. She was always upbeat and gave some great encouragement to me in the NTPD program. I will remember her and her family in my prayers.
Deeply saddened to hear the news. May God rest Dr Ruthanne Ramsey’s soul in eternal peace, and may the family find courage and solace by His grace, Amen.
Though I did not have the pleasure of meeting her, Dr Ramsay was a great lecturer and inspired us to excel in the Instructional methods course by her simple, upbeat and motivating lectures.
Dear Ramsey Family:
I am so sorry and devastated to hear that Dr. Ramsey passed away. I last e-mailed her a year ago when she asked if I could help one of her students who had just moved to San Antonio make contact with a couple of pharmacists so that the student could present her last required course presentation. I spoke directly with Dr. Ramsey two years ago when she so kindly helped me submit my first presentation prior to the end of the summer session. She knew I had just lost my mother in May of that year.
Know with all my heart that she reached out and touched me with her enthusiam and her love of teaching. She last asked when I would graduate and I remember her words of encouragement when I informed her my goal was for May of 2012. I missed her at the graduation ceremony but I assumed she had not come due to personal reasons as we were also missing other faculty.
May God Bless you all and know that I will pray for her and for all of you. She was a very special person, and I’m sure a wonderful daughter, sibling, wife, and mother.
My sincerest sympathies,
Patty Dominguez
You will be missed greatly, and may your gentle soul rest in peace!
I am so very sorry for the loss of your loved one. While I never met Dr. Ramsey in person, I was her student during a very difficult passage in my personal life and found her understanding and compassion for my circumstances to be personally sustaining. Your loss is shared by all the students at UC Denver who have had the good fortune to be her student as well as those to come who will never have the benefit of her guidance. May God bless her soul and offer you comfort as you travel through your personal journeys of grief.
I was sad when I heard about Dr. Ruthanne’s passing. She was a great teacher who had so much passion for lecturing. She was particularly good with the instructional methods class. I pray the Lord will comfort and strengthen the family at a time like this. She will be greatly missed.
I taught Ruthanne when she was a student in our Pharm.D. program at The University of Texas. I remember her as a delightful individual. Not only was she intelligent and a skilled clinician, she was a caring person. I will always remember the smile she had on her face.
I am so very sorry to hear about the passing of Ruthanne. She was a dear friend and we shared many fun times while living in Utah. She was a very caring person and dearly loved her family. She will be missed but always remembered.
I grieve the loss of Ruthanne with all her many friends and family. I was privileged to have her guidance through the Instructional Methods course, and benefited greatly from her skilled, individualized, yet warm approach. Ruthanne was always upbeat and encouraging. She provided a tough curriculum that has proved to be one of my most useful skills and some of my most favorite memories of the CU NTPD program. She will be greatly missed.
I just saw Ruthanne’s memorial listing in the Ohio Northern University Allumni Journal. Ruthanne was a dear friend and, I dare say mentor, while I was at Ohio Northern. We especially had “fun” studying Physiology with Dr. Dawson. As the years went by we went in and out of keeping in touch with each other. She did come to visit me once when I lived in New York City in the late 1980’s I believe. We had a lovely and special visit. My sincere sympathy to you all. Your Mom/wife/daughter was a very fine person and I feel priveledged and blessed for a lifetime to have known her. Mary Kay Pikulik Pershing
I was just searching for Ruthanne and found she had passed away. Someone had asked me who the most inspirational person in my life had ever been and I told them about Ruthanne. Meeting Ruthanne and having her as an instructor in my last month of Pharm D schoool in Utah literally changed my life. I was so captivated by her knowledge and her caring for older patient that I changed my entire career path to Geriatrics and moved to CO after she told me about a residency program there. She even let me stay with her until I found a place to live. I am so sad to hear this news and want her family to know she will always be in my thoughts and in my heart.
