  1. Samantha Stout says:

Randy was my uncle. I was the one that found him after his passing. There aren’t to many nice things anyone can say about my uncle, and I wish that wasn’t true. He was a hard man to live with and he was a hard man to love. He didn’t have many friends and unfortunately he had found a way to push away the few family members he had left. We decided, when he died, that we wouldn’t have a memorial or gathering of any kind, because really there was no one to invite. I hate the fact that, that statement is true. I believe that he would be alright with the way things turned out though. I even think that with his morbid sense of humor that he was alright with not being found until a day or two later, probably smiling or laughing as he watched me frantically pace back and fourth waiting on someone to get there…not to be cruel, just because that was Randy and he would have found humor in the situation…and I’m OK with that now. You can’t change people, certainly not him. Regardless, it always hurts to loose a family member and I DO think about him often, mostly wondering what he did with the missing knife in my cutlery set. a little Randy humor to end things with. May he find peace the best way he knows how.
