My condolences to Randy’s family in his sudden and unexpected passing. We had only recently reconnected after all these years, having been part of a very small group of close friends in college that studied together, getting us all through the experience. It is amazing that we would end up living relatively close together in the same general part of the Atlanta area, and yet not have reconnected until so recently. It doesn’t seem possible that we are all getting to the age where this type of event is becoming a part of our day-to-day experience. Yet, it is a shame that we didn’t manage to stay in touch over the years. Randy will truly be missed as a friend. He is the second in our rather small group to have passed away in the last year. I truly regret that we were not able to have enjoyed more time together as both of us approached retirement and the opportunity to travel and see more of the world around us. May you always have fond memories of Randy and the life that he lived.
My deepest sympathies on the loss of your brother. I realize you do not know me, but Randy spoke fondly of you both in the latter years I knew him. He and I first met, just as work acquaintances, back in the late 1990s. Subsequently, our career paths crossed again in 2008. In addition to being co-workers, we also became friends from that point on. I always admired his engineering mind and his ability to take on, and excel at, the design of large, complex telecommunications networks. Any time I needed computer, or technical gadget, advice, Randy was my first call. I will always remember us going out to lunch, many times for Thai, and having great discussions about all sorts of topics. I will truly miss sending time with Randy. He was a good man.
I pray Randy is experiencing Eternal Peace with our Lord and Savior.
My deepest sympathy today and always for the loss of your brother. Randy worked for us at ADVA for 10 years. Randy was a kind and easy-going person and it was such a pleasure working with him. He was always cordial and would greet me with a smile. I appreciated his peaceful an professional demeanor and truly enjoyed working with him. May Randy rest in peace. He will remain alive in our memories of him. Thinking of you and your family.
I had the pleasure of working with Randy for a number of years in a few different capacities. Early in my career he worked with and mentored me allowing my to tap his great network engineering experience. I’ll always be thankful. Thank you Randy!
I had the pleasure of working with Randy in a few different capacities over my career. Most impactfully he spent some time mentoring me early in my career. I’ll always be thankful. Thank you Randy!
I worked with Randy at Nortel and we remained friends ever since. We would get together at Sonny’s bbq and go to events like the Scottish highlands games at Stone Mountain park and other fairs and festivals. I was so sorry to hear about his passing and I send my condolences to his sisters. I will miss him!

I’m so sorry to learn of Randy’s passing. My condolences to you and your family. Randy and I worked together on several long term projects and I was impressed with his desire to learn, to teach, to share, and to ensure everything was absolutely perfect. He was always there when I needed him. He will be missed. Thank you, Randy!
I worked with Randy at ADVA for many years and found him to be a friendly knowledgeable, colleague with an easy smile. He kept a low profile at work but I remember his willingness to pitch in and do what it takes to make things happen. I enjoyed our joint training projects and appreciated his desire to make a larger contribution to the company. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and so thankful to have known him!
