Peggy Louise Lebo

Peggy Louise Lyerly Lebo, 88, died at home in Lawrenceville, Georgia after a long illness on January 31, 2017.  She was born on June 16, 1928 in Richmond, Virginia to Dr. James G. Lyerly, Sr. and Emily MacIlwain Lyerly. Peggy received her nursing degree from the Medical College of Virginia and was the nursing supervisor of eye surgical suite at Baptist Hospital. Her beloved husband Scott Lebo, predeceased her in 1969. Peggy is survived by her sister Ann Blankenship (Dean) of Orange Park, Florida, and her two brothers, Dr. James G. Lyerly, Jr (Jean) of Jacksonville, Florida and Thomas J. Lyerly (Leda) of Lawrenceville, Georgia, as well as one niece, Fair Lyerly Vickers and 6 nephews: Hans Tanzler; James G. Lyerly, III; John Lyerly; Bryan Lyerly; Robert Lyerly and Thom Lyerly, and 14 grand nieces and nephews.  A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 5042 Timuquana Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32210 at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 29, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
