Paul A. “Chuck” Criscillis, Jr., 74, passed away at his home on July 23, 2023.

Chuck was born on June 22, 1949, in Knoxville, Tennessee, to Paul A. Criscillis, Sr. and Anne Bohannon Criscillis. He grew up in Williamsburg, Kentucky, where he attended Williamsburg High School and Cumberland College, subsequently enrolled in the University of Kentucky, where he obtained a B. S. degree in accounting.

He began his career at Haskins & Sells (currently Deloitte) in Cincinnati and was transferred to the New York practice office in 1983 upon being named a partner in the firm. Chuck relocated to Georgia in 1985 and transitioned to private industry as Chief Financial Officer first at Crown Crafts, Inc. and later at Suburban Lodges and National Vision, Inc. In May of 2014, while at National Vision, Chuck was honored as the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s CFO of the year in the
large private company category. Chuck retired shortly after the company was sold to a private equity firm.

Chuck had a lifelong interest in and passion for music, playing guitar in rock and blues bands from his teenage years on, spending many happy hours rehearsing, recording and performing in bars and at corporate events. He also enjoyed both domestic and international travel. He was a long-time member of Dunwoody United Methodist Church, serving on the Finance Committee for a number of years.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife, Diane Hedrick Criscillis and his brother, Arthur L. Criscillis.

His memorial service will be held at Dunwoody United Methodist Church on Saturday, August 26th at 2:00 p.m.
