Patricia 'PJ' Brannon

Patricia Ann Nichols-Brannon, beloved wife, mother, sister, friend, was born December 11, 1943, at Coudersport Hospital, Potter County, Pennsylvania, the baby daughter of Howard Manley Nichols and Lillian Carlson Nichols, and the youngest sister of Theodore Nichols Judy and Sandra Kay Lambert David. Patricia grew up in rural Roulette, PA and graduated from Port Allegany HS, Port Allegany, PA. She moved to Washington DC upon her 18th birthday, married her first husband of 16 years, lived in Germany, the Washington DC area, and then settled in Georgia in 1975. Divorced in 1978, Patricia married David L. “Larry” Brannon in 1981. They combined their families of five daughters and began building a lifetime of memories. Patricia retired in 1992 after careers in administrative assistance and office management and began a career in sales. She was a champion saleswoman for Electrolux and Aerus Electrolux where she excelled at in-home sales and service of home care products making many loyal customers and friends. In addition she worked as the parts buyer for Walker Marine, Acworth, GA, until her retirement from both positions in 2007. Patricia was an avid bowler, a member of several bowling leagues where she won awards year after year. She also enjoyed travel, being out of doors, fishing and hunting, handicrafts, painting, and entertaining family and friends.
Patricia lost her heroic battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. She died at home surrounded by her loving family. . .
In addition to her husband Larry, Pat is survived by brother Ted of Emporium, PA and sister Sandra of Clinton, CT, her daughters Lori Ann Washington Joel of Douglasville, GA, Wanda Leigh Moon of Carrollton, GA, Jennifer Rae Moon of Oakland Park, FL, her stepdaughters Melanie Lynn Brannon of Woodstock, GA, and Kelly Ann Helms Eric of Cartersville, GA, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
There will be a Home Going Celebration on Saturday, January 5th, at 4:00 pm at Graceland Church 17 Cedar Creek Circle, Cartersville, GA, 30121. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Patricia and the family request that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to lung cancer research.
