Nicola Mentonelli

Nicola Mentonelli, age 54, passed away on September 30th, 2011. He was born in Rome, Italy on January 28th, 1957 to Maria and Paolo Mentonelli. In October, 1980 he met his future wife, Carol, and immigrated to the United States in August, 1981. Upon his arrival he immediately set about building a new life for himself and, more importantly, for his new family. Through his indomitable spirit and enormous heart, he provided an abundance of love and warmth for his family and those around him. He is succeeded by his wife Carol, daughter Eleanora, son Paolo, mother Maria, sister Loredana, niece Ludovica, nephew Lorenzo, and his extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, his family would appreciate donations to the Atlanta chapter of Habitat for Humanity, where he enjoyed working as a volunteer from The Coca-Cola Company.
He had accomplished much in a short amount of time, while always being a
loving husband and father, and helping others along the way.
I was saddened to hear that Nicola passed away in September. We were in graduate school at Florida together. I will always remember Nicola as a very kind man who worked hard and loved his family dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with Carol, Paolo, and Ellie.
Sincerely,
Beth Pride Ford
