Muriel Renee Morris “Renee”, 78, of Clarkston GA died on June 17, 2015. She is survived by her sons, Paul Scott Morris and Joseph Edward Morris “Jaye”, grandchildren, Michaela Alexis Morris and Paige McKenzie Morris.

Renee attended the University of Pittsburgh, graduating summa cum laude. She was one of the first female DJ’s in radio, working for KDKA in Pittsburgh PA. She was one of the first female chairs for the Social-work department at Salisbury State College, now Salisbury University, also gaining her LCSW-C, which enabled her to help many, many, many people. She was a part of writing a grant while in Salisbury MD for a program called “Go-getters,” when helped and continues to help people who have chronic mental health issues. She also worked for at supported the “Life Crisis Center,” in Salisbury MD working with abused women, as well as professional counseling services for Catholic Social Services in Salisbury MD. She was on the forefront of Women’s Rights issues movement, working for political, social and economic change. In her later life she spent years working for Home Shopping Network in Human Resources and was also voice of “Tootie.” In her retirement she established her own business doing what she loved to do… selling and trading collectible dolls.
