Maxine Quinn Teaster of LaGrange, Georgia, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2022, at West Georgia Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Teaster.

Maxine was born in Glendale, SC on December 16, 1933, to the late William and Alice Quinn. Maxine moved to LaGrange in 1969 with her husband and three daughters, working as a bookkeeper/secretary at LaGrange High School for many years before working and retiring from West Georgia Technical College.

Maxine enjoyed playing Bridge and Mah Jongg with friends and traveling. She was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church for 52 years.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Teaster of Atlanta, Jane Frazier (Tim) of Pine Mountain, Mary Alice Cochran (Guyton) of Carrollton, two brothers, Richard Gerald Quinn and Kenneth Quinn of Spartanburg, SC, three grandchildren, James, Will, and Elizabeth Cochran, a sister-in-law, Shirley Teaster, also of Spartanburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private, family memorial service will be held at St Mark’s Episcopal Church on Sunday, February 20, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church 207 N. Greenwood St. LaGrange, GA 30240.
