Mary Uffelmann Anderson

Mary Uffelmann Anderson died at the age of 89 on Saturday, 21 November 2015 in Athens, Georgia. Mary was born 21 October, 1926 in Savannah, Georgia to Henry & Minnie McMahon Uffelmann and was the youngest of 3 children. She graduated from St. Vincent’s Academy in 1945.
After living in many parts of the country, Mary settled with her family in the Atlanta area for over 50 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who spent much of her creative talents in a myriad of artistic media. In later years, she won many awards with her beautiful wood carvings. She is remembered by all for her sweet disposition, sense of humor and playful attitude towards life.
She was married to Tom Dolan of Oklahoma City in 1950. After his death in 1951, she married Ben Anderson of Claxton, GA in 1955 died 1975. She is predeceased by her son & daughter-in-law Dan Cyndi Jones Anderson.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Charles Day and Peggy Bill Pulliam Anderson; 6 grandchildren, Bronwen Day, Brigid Day, Bevan Day, Mike Raydel Anderson, Scott Kim Anderson Nolan Chelsi Anderson; and 4 great-grandchildren, Bri Anderson, Challie Anderson, Zander Anderson & Logan Anderson.
