Mary Louise was my favorite cousin in the Asbury family! no offense Frost She was a bit older than me but they lived in Maryland and we lived in North Carolina, which meant we didn’t get to see each other too often. We visited them at the Point when I was young and her Dad, an inventor, was trying to see how many parts of his engine on his boat really had to be there to simplify a gas engine. Later, when I was in Washington, DC on business, if at all possible, I tried to get over to Annapolis for a short visit. Verna, my wife, my son Wayne, and I were able to visit them when they still lived in their house on the river/bay. When we met we had a resonance of kinship that evaporated the long periods between visits. The last time Verna & I were able to visit was when they lived in their condo next to the river/bay near Annapolis. She had prepared a beautiful meal of crabs that were caught just off the back ramp. Even though I love crab, I had to tell her that I was allergic to crab, but the hamburger still tasted good among the great visit we had that night. Last year with Diane’s help we tried to introduce Anne to Mary Louis, but Mary Louise was not up to making the trek into Atlanta. Diane and Anne did make the connection that evening even with some stumbling blocks. I had hoped to visit Mary Louise in Atlanta on an upcoming trip east, but I will have to see her later.
Mary Louise has been a real blessing to the Asbury family!
I went to high school with Diane and she was my maid of honor at my wedding and I have lost track of her. She used to roe across the creek off the house on melrose to pick me up and when she left for the year in Switzerland I was a very sad girl. My email in zannemlove@icloud.com. If possible can you pass this on and perhaps she might contact me
