Marjorie Bussjager Smith

Marjorie “Marge” Smith, 73 years, passed away quietly on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. She passed away in her home surrounded by family whom she loved dearly. She was a resident of the East Cobb community for over 40 years.

She was born in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ, to Pauline & George Gwaldo. She is preceded in death by her parents and her only sister, Nancy Jacobus.

She moved to Marietta in 1975 where she met her beloved husband Don Smith. They were married in 1980, joining their two families together. Her husband’s children became her children. She enjoyed many interests and hobbies, but her family was the source of her greatest delight. She was a member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, and her great faith carried her through her illness. She is survived by her loving husband Don W. Smith, son Chris J. Bussjager Amelia, daughter Erica E. Harris, son D. Warren Smith, and son Perry O. Smith Rena. Grandchildren Avery & Jack Bussjager, Coda & Haley Simonton and Lucy & Sydney Smith.

A private service for the family will be held at a later date.
