Resided in: Dunwoody, GA

Margaret Woodbridge Price Duensing, “Peg,” 83, of Dunwoody, GA passed away September 27, 2012 surrounded by her family.

Born on her parents’ eighth wedding anniversary, in Indianapolis on June 4, 1929, Peg was the daughter of the late George Arthur and Margaret Hensley Woodbridge Price. She attended National Cathedral School for Girls in Washington, D.C. and Hood College in Frederick, MD.

She married Walter Paul Duensing on April 21, 1950 and the two recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Together they had four children: Linda Starr, Robert Keith, Deborah Anne and Susan Gail.

Peg always led a full and active life, from enjoying and being active in the arts, to giving herself to others in community service and traveling the world. She was a member of Dunwoody United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution and New England Women.

Of all the joys in Peg’s life, she cherished family most. She is survived by her husband Walt, her children and their spouses: Lynn & Bruce Dunn, Robert & Sooz Duensing; Debbie & David Eastis and Sue & Thomas Revels and her grandchildren: Brian Duensing, his wife Kate, and soon to be great-grandson Tyler Sterling Duensing; Courtney Shirley and her husband Kris; Tracey Redford and her husband Jonathan, Carter Eastis and Kyle Eastis. She loved her children and grandchildren and especially enjoyed spending time with her relatives in Leland, Michigan.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend; a God-fearing believer and a genuine person. She tried hard at everything she did. She strove for knowledge and hated to leave her family, even now. You won’t find her in any history books, but had you crossed paths with Peg, you would always remember her.

A private family memorial was held at her home Saturday September 29. A public memorial will be held October 10, 2012 at 4:30 pm at Dunwoody United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in her name to Leelanau Conservancy, 105 North First Street, P. O. Box 1007, Leland, MI 49654. 231-256-9665.
