Margaret Duncan

Margaret (Marge) Duncan, 88, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017. Although born in Plymouth, PA, she spent her teens in Newark, NJ with her family before she married Fred Duncan (deceased) and moved to Atlanta in 1956. Born to Slovakia immigrant parents, she was the oldest of 3 girls; sisters Delores and Josephine. She leaves a large and loving family having 3 children, Fred (Donna), Steve (Judy), and Karen, 4 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. We should all be so lucky to live to have the titles of mother, grandmother, mema, and great-grandmother. With her loving heart, Marge spent her retired years volunteering at Northside Hospital Forsyth and previously at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Sandy Springs. She loved sharing her European heritage with her great-grandchildren and the Eastern European Christmas Eve dinner was her favorite to prepare. A Mass celebrating her life will be held at Epiphany Byzantine Catholic Church, 2030 Old Alabama Dr., Roswell, GA 30076 on Thursday, May 25 at 12:00. Reception to follow the service. In lieu of flowers Marge would have appreciated a donation to Epiphany Byzantine Church (PO Box 1226, Duluth, GA 30096) in her name.
