Marcy Virginia McDaniel passed away peacefully at home with family on Friday, April 2, 2021.

Marcy was an Atlanta native, born on September 29, 1963. She was a graduate of Campbell High School in Smyrna, Georgia and went on to obtain an Associate of Arts Degree in Psychology from Liberty University. She worked as a Legal Assistant for many years before pursuing her degree.

She had a passion for many things mainly, her Lord Jesus Christ, her family and her friends. She was an advocate for helping others, especially animals. She volunteered to provide foster homes for animals with special needs. With a kind heart and giving spirit, Marcy was loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Veal and her husband, Joe McDaniel.

Marcy is survived by her mother, Jere Furbacher; daughter and son-in-law, Chelsea and Adam Piatt; Uncles, Aunts, In-Laws, Nieces, Nephews and cousins, including Carol Ball who was more like a sister.

Family and friends will come together to celebrate Marcy’s life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor are welcome at Ahimsa House, an organization supporting human and animal victims of domestic violence. www.ahimsahouse.org
