  2. Cindy Barber says:

I had the privilege of getting to meet Lisa and train with her in Birmingham, Alabama a number of years ago. She made this Canadian welcome. I appreciated her kindness. Condolences to your family.

  3. Mary Jane Turner says:

I had the privilege of teaching with Lisa when she taught at Greenbrier Christian Academy in Chesapeake, Virginia. I was blessed to not only teach with her but also to teach Taylor first grade. She was the epitome of a fine teacher and mother. Lisa was a quiet and humble encourager to her fellow teachers and students. I will forever be grateful that God allowed me to know her. I will be praying for her family as they learn to do daily life without her presence. I am so thankful for the hope of heaven.

  4. Amy Diaz says:

I knew Lisa when we were little. She lived next door to us in Rockford, IL. She was one of my best friends through elementary school. I lost touch with her during high school and as adults but often reflect on the lively and fun childhood we had growing up with a group of girls in our neighborhood. Rest in peace, Lisa.

  5. Jill Renbarger says:

My time working under Lisa’s leadership at Valor was short but impactful. Praying for you, Steve, and your family. And praise God for Christ’s work on the Cross and His Resurrection that gives us hope in Him.

  8. Diane (Winking) Forberg says:

Carolyn and Jerry my heart breaks for you. Remembering Lisa as the pretty little girl starting school with daughter Amy makes this so very sad. I love reading the things about Lisa that I always figured would be her life. Teaching, faith and kindness, Knowing she had a loving husband, a son and grandchildren is exactly what should have been and was, May your faith and the caring of all those who loved Lisa give you strength.

  9. Tammi (Brunner) Loparco says:

    Jerry, Carolyn & Mandy-

My heart has struggled to find the right words. Even though it’s been so long and we were pretty young. I have clear memories of Lisa and her smile, and even her laugh. As much as my heart aches for you all right now, I rejoice in the victory and promise that we have through Jesus Christ and the eternal hope He has given us. I am praying that you all truly know God’s comfort, His peace, and His embrace. I love you all!

    • Carolyn Miller says:

Thank you Tammi. We appreciate your heartfelt thoughts. It is hard for us to express how grateful we are for the kind expressions. We know God’s ways are higher than our ways and we continue to trust him. He is carrying us through this time.

  10. Kathy Johnson (Waskiewicz) says:

I’m so sorry to hear about Lisa. Like Amy, I have so many wonderful memories of all us girls when we were young. Thoughts and prayers are with your family

  11. Carolyn Miller says:

Thank you Kathy. It is very nice to look back on those days when you girls had such fun times together.
