Born in: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Resided in: Atlanta, Georgia

Linda Roney Faucette, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, was reunited with her late husband of 35 years, William “Bill” Faucette in God’s heavenly kingdom on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024. Linda was the middle daughter of the late Jay and Jean Roney and grew up in Minneapolis, MN, Overland Park, KS, Washington DC and finally Homewood, IL where she graduated from Homewood-Flossmoor High School.

Linda was a flight attendant for Delta Airlines, where she devoted 32 years of service, forming lifelong connections and memories. A spirited and active woman, Linda was the Past President of PEO, Chapter O and an active participant in the Widowed Helping Others (WHO) group formed at the Catholic Church of St. Ann in Marietta, GA. She had a passion for fitness, especially running and was found at the starting line of the Peachtree Road Race for many years. Dancing was a joy she found later in life, reflecting her vibrant and energetic spirit.

Linda’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she served faithfully on the Altar Guild at both St. Bede’s Episcopal Church and Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church. Her dedication to her church communities was matched only by her love for her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Faucette, with whom she now rejoices in the heavenly kingdom. She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Kolkebeck of Cumming, Ga, and son-in-law, Robert Kolkebeck; her son, John Faucette of Winder, Ga; and her cherished grandsons, Brock McDonald and Weston Kolkebeck. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Sue Fitzgerald of Hendersonville, NC and Jennifer Razes of Denver, CO, who shared in her laughter and love throughout her life.

We will celebrate her life at 10 am on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal Church, 805 Mount Vernon Hwy NW, Atlanta, Ga 30327. In honor of Linda’s vibrant spirit, please celebrate her legacy with us by wearing a shade of pink (her favorite color). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to P.E.O. via peo-portal.com/donations or Confident Threads via confidentthreads.org.

Linda’s legacy of love, joy, and an active life will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
