Leigh Ann Conn, 48, died Thursday March 3, 2011 at her parent’s home under Compassionate Hospice Care of North Georgia. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 2, 1962 to Henry and Rebecca Conn. In addition to her parents she is survived by her brother, Phillip Conn, his wife Kelly, nephew, Justin and niece, Kristina of Dunwoody, Georgia. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, four cousins and numerous friends from all over the world. She received her diploma from Dunwoody High School, attended the University of Alabama and graduated from Total Technical Institute in Cleveland, Ohio. Her working life included roles as Marketing and Administrative Director, Marketing Director and Operations Coordinator. She had extensive experience in the restaurant industry and lived in Louisville, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Hilton Head Island and Ponte Vedra Beach before settling in Dunwoody. She was an avid sports enthusiast and personally attended the Baseball All-Star Game, Olympics, Super Bowl, The Masters, World Series, PGA and hundreds of collegiate and professional football, basketball and baseball games and NASCAR races nationwide. She was a gentle and caring soul, loved animals of all kind and her good nature and humor will be missed by family, friends and everyone she met. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her honor can be made to Small Dog Rescue and Humane Society Inc, P.O. Box 888570, Atlanta, GA 30356. She was working as a volunteer for this organization up until the time of her death. While her bright light has now been extinguished here on earth, it shall forever burn as she joins her loving grandparents with her beloved orange cat in her arms.
