Larry Corse
Dr Larry Bailey Corse passed away on December 8, 2011. Larry was born in Texas on March 8, 1940 to Chancey and Eva Corse. He is survived by his devoted partner David Marshall, his son Theron Corse and his sister Lyndell Henderson. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

I just read in the Henry Herald about Larry’s passing and wanted to send my sympathies. He was a former theatre professor of mine when I attended what was then Clayton Jr. College, back in the early-mid 80s. I performed in a number of productions that he directed. He was a great guy and had a wonderful since of humour. The weekend before Thanksgiving I was attending a production at Clayton State with my niece and was introduced to the current director there. We talked about Larry with great fondness. I’m so sorry to learn about his passing.
Larry was also my director at Clayton Jr. early to mid 80’s. Larry was funny and brilliant. He will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family.
It was a joy to know this man, and watch him in action with the theater group at Clayton Junior College back in my day. He was very loved and respected. My condolences to family and friends.
Dr. Corse was a wonderful professor and director that I had the pleasure of working with on many occasions in the early ’80’s. He is a big part of many of my favorite memories.

We just learned of Larry’s death and wish his family and other friends well during this time. Joyce worked with him as a professional colleague for twenty-eight years at Clayton State, and we both enjoyed his work with the Clayton State Theatre for many years as citizens and friends.

I have many memories of Larry and the things we did together a from grade school thru high school, in the Boy scouts and the summers that Larry, myself and a another friend went to West Texas to run a cucumber shed for the company that my dad was the sales manger.
Larry made contact with me about 3 years ago and sent me a copy of his book. I relived many of the things we did in our youth that he mentioned about his book.
I do give my sympahty to all his family an to those lives he touched.

Dr. Corse was a friend and Mentor, and Iwas lucky to have had in my life. He gave support to do things i didn’t think could do and opportunities to grow as an artist.
