Kenneth Michael Barfield

Kenneth Michael Barfield, age 75, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on December 31, 2023. Kenneth was born on July 23, 1948, to William E. and Ollie Mae Barfield in Atlanta, Georgia. Kenneth is survived by his sister, Janice Owen; niece, Lori Shellnutt, and her husband, Ryan, and their son, William.

Kenneth graduated from Milton High School in Alpharetta, Georgia. He earned a degree in education from the University of Georgia and his masters degree in education from Georgia State University. He taught school for many years. He served in the United States Army from 1970-1973.

Kenneth was a kind person who loved the Lord and had a vast knowledge of the Bible. He enjoyed reading, gardening, collecting comic books, and was an avid fan of the Atlanta Hawks, Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and the Atlanta Braves.

Celebration of Life service to be held on February 3, 2024, at 1:00 PM, at the Sandy Plains Baptist Church in Marietta, Georgia.
