Kathleen Reeves
Kathleen Ferguson Reeves was born in Thomaston, GA. on August 24, 1920. She attended Robert E. Lee High School where she graduated second in her class. She attended South Georgia Teachers College and later received a B.S. E. D. from the University of Georgia. She taught briefly in Thomaston, GA, and was married in 1943 for 67 years to Wilson Reeves who predeceased her in June of 2010. Kathleen taught first grade in the Atlanta School System, first at Rock Springs and then at Sarah Smith. She was an active member of Northside United Methodist Church as a member of various circles and as a volunteer in the church library. She is survived by her sisters Renee Tiller Sid and Willa Jones Buddy and many loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Northside United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer Association. A memorial service will be held at Northside United Methodist Church in the Chapel on Saturday, October 2, at 3 p.m., and friends and family are invited after the service to Willa and Buddy Jones’ home at 4735 Millbrook Drive.
