John “Jack” Francis Clunen, born March 12, 1941, departed for his heavenly residence on February 6th, 2023. Jack is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bette Clunen; his children: Linda (Doug) Hughes, Ree (Tony) Aguirre; 5 grandchildren: Denise (Dereck) Heim, Ryan (Michelle) Wood, Taylor (Sara) Aguirre, Kayla Aguirre and Doug Hughes, Jr.; and 4 great-grandchildren: Victoria, Alyssa, Luke and Harper.

Jack was a devoted life-long Catholic parishioner and earned the distinction of 4th degree with the Knights of Columbus. After his service in the Air Force, he worked 30 years for Delta Air Lines. He specialized in avionics and was involved in various flight operations overseas. Jack’s other accomplishments are far too numerous to mention here, but high among them is that those of us who truly knew him were happier because of him.

The funeral service will be at 11am on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 3940 Holtzclaw Rd, Cumming, GA 30041. A luncheon will immediately follow the service and be held in the hospitality room at Good Shepherd.
