  5. Lauren says:

I am so saddened by the news of Jennifer’s passing.

Jennifer was such a lovely lady, inside and out. She was very caring and considerate, and so very witty. We shared a lot during our two years working together. When I last saw her at the end of July, she was the picture of beauty and good health. Right after Christmas, I learned of her illness. She told me the doctor gave her two years and she was okay with that. We tried several times to get together one Saturday for lunch but life got in the way and we couldn’t get our schedules together. The last contact I had with her was in February so obviously things took a turn for the worse.

Jenn, I am sorry we couldn’t get together, my friend, and that I never visited you at the store. Now, I will never see you again.

We were very much alike as complicated women, living complicated lives. As much as it hurts to get the news of your passing, I know that you are in a peaceful place where there is no more sorrow, disappointment or pain and it truly comforts me. I am sorry you didn’t have more time on this earth. You will be missed, Sweet Lady.

My condolences to all of your family and friends who loved you and whose lives you brightened with your gorgeous smile.

    Rest in peace, dear friend.
