Jeffrey Gordon Fore

Fore, Jeffery Gordon, Jeff of Buckhead, Georgia passed on from us on November 9, 2016. Jeff was born in Homestead, Florida on November 28, 1962 as the second child of three to Cora Sue KanzlerFore Sherman and Gordon Arthur Fore of Carbondale, IL. Jeff was a loving child which fostered into deep caring for others. This started young in his life as the family moved to Ft. Myers, Florida in 1972 and built their home and farm in Buckingham, Florida in 1973. There in Buckingham, Jeff became attached to Veterinary Science as he interned as a young teen with a local doctor. His parents and siblings remember that Jeff would take ownership of pets and farm animals in lieu of pay in order to heal and expand the farm.

As Jeffery became a man he entered the stage of life in which we seek to know ourselves. He learned through struggle that he was a Gay man. Making this choice at this time in his life in the 1980’s it did not come with outpouring of support as it does today. It was testament of will to forge through to see the growing equality for this community. His love for children and the realization that he would not bear his own family was fulfilled by learning that one could love deeply, heal wounded hearts, teach souls and provide guidance to others that faced the same awareness of life.

Later in his short life Jeff was ordained as an Active Minister to the Universal Brotherhood Movement as a Spiritual Counselor. An avid fisherman with his mother, Eagle Scout, an amazing chef, care giver, floral arranger and artist. His talents will be remembered by his many friends that he deeply touched. Pre deceased by his mother Cora Sue Sherman, survived by his father Gordon Arthur Fore, his spouse Linda Fore, sister Lynn Estelle Richards, her spouse Jody Richards, nephew Justin Richards his spouse Brandy Richards, their children Austyn Marie and Colton Joseph, brother Scott Arthur Fore, his spouse Kristen Fore their children Temperance Grace and Parker Andrew.

There are no formal services being scheduled and the family ask that if you wish to honor the memory of Jeffery Gordon Fore please make donations in Memory of, to the American Cancer Society or the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
