James Thomas Keeling
James T. Keeling, 85, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 surrounded by his children. He was a resident of Atlanta, GA at the time of his death but was a “snowbird” for many years, splitting his time between White Lake, NY and Boynton Beach, FL. He served in the Navy and proudly served the New York City Police Department for 29 years and retired as a Homicide Detective in 1990. He was always the life of the party and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He loved to reminisce by looking at pictures. Until his final years, he was an avid golfer and you could always rely on him for a good joke. He is survived by his son, David Kellner and wife Linda, daughter Stacie Bennett Kellner, daughter Elizabeth Howayeck Keeling and husband Rob as well as his grandchildren Louis & Alex Bennett, Alexis, Abby, & Kevin Kellner, and Avery Howayeck as well as a sister, Evelyn Sandy Delaney and wife Doris. The family will hold private memorials at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association.
