James Milton Hines

James Jim Milton Hines of Woodstock, GA passed away May 12, 2015. Born November 6, 1933 in Jonesville, VA to Otis and Nina Reese Hines. He graduated Jonesville High School in 1950. Attended National Business College, Knoxville, TN. Served in the Army 54-56 during the Korean Conflict. He worked for McCalls-Dayton Press Dayton, OH for 27 years, and the Atlanta Journal Constitution Atlanta, GA for 13 years until his retirement in 1998. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Alpharetta, GA.
He was preceded in death by his parents Otis and Nina Reese Hines, brother W.R. Hines, and sister Juanita Garrett. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce Hines, daughters Leslie Tracy Ross, Debbie Wayne Touart, and Kelli Michael Lambertson, brothers Kelly Hines and Roy Hines, sisters Lois Hedrick, Sharyn Edwards, and Linda Cridlin, grandchildren John Katy Stewart, Michael Stewart, Christopher Stephanie Stewart, Evan Touart, and Avery Lambertson, and 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Alpharetta First Baptist Church Friday May 29th at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Veteran’s National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
