My family will miss seeing Dr. Varner around the neighborhood. He has been a fixture here since we moved in 9 years ago and he always had something kind to say to all he met.
It warms our hearts to know that he and Celeste are together again.
My coworkers at the library and I were missing Dr. Varner and are very sorry to learn of his passing. He was a bright light who regularly came into the branch and told us how wonderful we were and what a great job we were doing! He spread cheer and good will wherever he went! Heaven is a much sweeter place now that he is there!
I was just wondering if this was my friend that I’ve have been trying to contact with no luck. The Jim that I knew was the first pastor at Virginia Wingard United Methodist Church in Columbia, SC. Please let me known if I have located the right one.
