James Edward O'Donnell

James “JIM” Edward O’Donnell, 76, of El Paso Texas, passed in his sleep on July 28, 2013; while visiting his family in Atlanta Georgia. Jim had over 20 years of distinguished military service in the U.S. Army and Marines. He was also a civil servant for many years. Jim was Sir Knight of Assembly 1970 and member of St. Luke Council 12160. During his time with 12160, he was a Grand Knight, Financial Secretary and Faithful Navigator of a 4th Degree Assembly.He leaves behind his loving family; son and daughter-in-law, John and Jacqueline O’Donnell, and his only grandchild Chance his pride and joy; nieces Leah, Lindsey and Kathleen; and nephews Thomas and William. We were blessed to have him in our lives. He was an amazing Grandfather and an avid Gardner. He is… and will be always missed. Interment will be at Fort Rosecrans in San Diego, CA with full Military Honors. A local Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church of El Paso, Texas. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. I worked with Jim when he was the Chief of the Fort Bliss Finance and Accounting Division. He was a good leader and a good friend. He will be missed.
