INEZ JOYNER KENIMER
May12, 1917-January 26, 2012. Inez was born in Nashville, N.C. She was the only girl in a family of six boys. She met her future husband, Gordon, when he was there serving in the CCC. After the war, the couple moved to Decatur, where she was a long time member of North Decatur Methodist Church and was involved in many civic organizations. She was employed as an Admissions Clerk by Emory Hospital. She is survived by daughter, Kay Kenimer, of Atlanta, son Jim Kenimer, daughter-in-law, Catherine Davis, and grandchildren Brad and Eleanor Kenimer of Alexandria, Va. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, alz.org, or the Methodist Children’s Home, umchildrenshome.org. Many thanks to the staff at the Fountainview Center for their wonderful care over the years.

    Dear Kay & Jim, I lived next door, up the hill, to your parents for 7 years with my partner Melissa. We loved your parents very much. We just drove by the house the other day and wondered how your mom was doing. I know the last few years have been a struggle with her Alzheimer’s. I have so many fond memories of both your parents. We will keep you in our prayers.
