Ilse Thygesen Petersen

It is with great sadness that we note the passing of Ilse Petersen , beloved mother, age 89 of Woodstock, Georgia on Jun 29, 2018 at home after a long illness. She is predeceased in death by her husband, Arne Gurre Petersen, her parents Svend Aage & Laurentine Thygesen , brothers Poul , Arne & Jens of Denmark and her sister Hanne Louise Sellers of Canton, Ga. She is survived by her daughter Vibeke Gurre Petersen of Woodstock, Ga, ; Brother Mogens of Stavanger, Norway; Brother Svend Stanley of Ballerup, Denmark ; Sister Henny Marie Rasmussen (Thygesen) of Snertinge, Denmark along with many nieces, nephews residing in the US, Norway & Denmark. There will be a private “celebration of life” for close family and friends with date still to be determined. Internment will be held in Denmark for family and friends. In lieu of flowers her wishes were donations be made to any of the following charities: The American Lung Association, The American Heart Association, the Humane Society or a local animal shelter, St. Judes Hospital, Doctors without Borders or UNICEF.
