Hosmer Layfette Chesser

Hosmer Layfette “Chess” Chesser, 86, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents Calvin L. and Minnie Plant Chesser, 3 brothers LaGrand, Cassidie and Paul Chesser. He is survived by wife of 57 years Maxine Drinnen Chesser, sons Brian Joanne of Stone Mountain and Don of Coppell, TX; 5 grandchildren: Scott Anglin Mary, Andrew Anglin, Devyn Chesser, Megan Chesser and Nicole Manzi Casey Greene; 2 great grandchildren, Tanner Anglin, and Pressley James Greene. Chess attended the University of Florida and graduated from Georgia State University with a Masters of Business Administration. He entered the computer field in its infancy, working for Lockheed and Sara Lee. Chess was a longtime active member of Briarlake Baptist Church serving as a teacher of the Progressive Men’s Bible Class.
