Helen Louise Adams

Helen Adams died on Wednesday, August 8th at Kingsbridge, Atlanta, GA. She was born on August 13th, 1925 in Beaver Falls, PA. Her family moved to Atlanta in 1943 where she graduated from Girls High. She left Atlanta for San Diego, CA and returned a year later to work at Bell Bomber building B 24’s. After the war, she enrolled at the High Museum of Art where she met Charley Adams. They dated and married in 1949. She worked for Tucker Wayne Advertising and then started a career in the savings and loan business, First Federal in 1951 and retired from Anchor Savings in 1989.
Helen wore many hats very well, an independent woman, a devoted wife, friend, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charley, her daughter Marilyn, son Don and grandson Joel. She is survived by her sister, Marilyn Roush, brother, Don Roush, son, Gary and his wife, Debbie, Andrea and Tommy, daughter in-law Suzanne Adams, Page and her husband Ken, Jonathon and his wife Kacie, Lindsey and her husband Bryant, and her precious new great grandson, Andrew.
A memorial service will be held Sat. Sept. 8th, 2018 at Shallowford Prebyterian Church 2375 Shallowford Rd. NE Atlanta, GA 30345.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shallowford Presbyterian Church.
