I was about 10 years old when I first met Vi 60 years ago and she lived across the street from us in Arlington, Texas. She was my mother’s best friend for over 40 years. She always made me laugh with her fantastic sense of humor. She was a champion shopper and a magnificent cook. Vi was a special combination of beauty, intelligence, love, and compassion. Mom and I never had a better friend. As a birthday present when I was 15 she took me to Dallas to see the first live musical theater performance of my life “The Boyfriend”. She sat beside me at Mom’s funeral and held my hand. I will never forget the comfort that gave me. God gave us all a great gift when he gave us Viola Main and we will all miss her. But think of the joy in heaven as she is reunited with Earl and her other family members. I know she and my Mom are right now sharing the heavenly equivalent of the coffee and conversation they always enjoyed.

Vi worked for my husband at Transamerica for many years. She was a wonderful and caring person. She will be missed a lot. May her soul rest in peace.
