Before I knew it, Greg “Whisper” Farrar had quietly woven himself into my heart. He was so sweet and humble. I constantly pestered him to speak louder so that I could hear him better. But, the Greg we all knew was very resolute. Changing himself was not an option! I finally learned to lean in closer when we conversed. Later, I started calling him “Whisper”. It took nearly two years before he acknowledged the term of endearment the first time. The big smile he gave me that moment was priceless! No other words were spoken. We just laughed. Me, out loud. He, quietly…

Still shocked and saddened by this news and the great loss of such a kind and funny soul. Greg was a great guy – we only chatted occasionally, but I always loved seeing him. We reconnected in 2011, and I couldn’t beleive it was the same Greg from Briarcliff High School, when Greg, with the long, beautiful hair, was friends with my brother Jeff and I was friends with Debbie. Both of them were such kind, good souls. Knowing Greg these past years was like knowing a quiet kindness that influenced everyone around him. To the entire Farrar family – I am so sorry for your loss. Greg’s presence was a gift. He cared very much for his family, especially his mom. I know you will all miss him very much – so weill we. May his memory be a blessing.
