Evelyn’s friends at Helen Presbyterian Church in the North Georgia mountains, send our condolences, love and prayers in the loss of your dear loved one. We always enjoyed when she substituted as our organist, and have missed seeing you both in our area since Evelyn became ill. She was a beautiful Christian and friend to many of us, and has been missed.
May it help ease your loss in some small way to know we share it with you. May your wonderful memories, along with God’s unconditional love, and the love of friends, sustain you in the days ahead.
Ed, I deeply appreciate you letting us know about Evelyn’s passing. You will remain in our prayers, in the days ahead. God bless you, and your family.
In Christian Love,
BJ Willard and your many friends at Helen Presbyterian Church.
I assisted her when she taught Prek at Suburban and she was an EXCELLENT teacher and friend. She taught me so many things and I loved her advice. She will always be known as the teacher who taught me everything I know.
To her family and close friends I know she will be truly missed. I will continue to pray that the Lord holds your hand during this time.
Much love,
Bonnie
To the Arnn Family and Friends my Heart, Thought’s and Prayers goes out to you all. Mrs. Evelyn was a dedicated Wife, Mom, Grandmother, and Friend . She touched so many lives in her life time weather it was thru her Teaching or Playing her music or just being a friend to someone. Everyone that has ever met her Loved her because she was a kind and Loving person that got along with everyone. The day that I heard about her passing I was shocked, but I know that she has gone Home to be with GOD. So that means No more Sickness or Pain she is Healed and now she’s watching over her Love one’s from Heaven . So to the Family , yes I know that its hard to know that she’s no longer here with you on earth. But believe that she will forever live on in our memories and she’s watching over you from up High. Love , La’Tasha
Evelyn Arnn taught piano to our two daughters for a number of years–she was always so kind, patient, and kept a good sense of humor even when they did not practice as they should have before the lesson. The girls looked forward to her annual recitals held in her home. She helped each of them create and develop piano pieces, which they played at these recitals. We were fortunate enough to be able to see her play the piano as part of her role as an accompanist in the Decatur Civic Chorus. We will miss her presence in our community and in our lives. We keep Mr. Arnn and all of Mrs. Arnn’s family and friends in our thoughts and prayers during this period.
With deepest sympathy and love,
The Immergluck Family
Evelyn and I shared so much during our late teen years especially through church activities. She was the organist and I was the interim choir director. We both loved to eat and every Sunday night after church when we were paid by the church – the grand sum of $20.00 each! – we headed straight for our favorite restaurant and order a T-boned steak! I went to her house often and she came to mine. We were both blessed with wonderful Christian parents. We often went on trips together – Ridgecrest and the beach. I married first and she played the organ for our ceremony. When she and Ed married, I directed a female ensemble and we sang an “Evelyn” arrangement of a hymn. We moved far away from each other but always kept in touch via Christmas letters. I feel so blessed to have known her. I always admired the ease with which she played the organ and the piano. Although memories of Evelyn have flooded my mind these days, my heart has been sad since learning of her death. Evelyn, “I thank my God in every rememberance of you.”
Ed – I think of you as you continue to live your life with memories of Evelyn. I think of her so often and all the care-free fun we had a teenagers. You are in my prayers. She was such a special friend to me.
