Edwina was the beloved mother of William, Catherine and Winston (Billy/Bill, Cathy/Kim and Winston/Geoff), and the WWII war bride of William H. White. Born in Torquay, Devonshire, England, she moved after the War to the U.S. with her her husband and oldest son Billy, where Bill attended law school and Cathy was born. After graduation they resided in Muncie, Indiana. The remaining family, children Bill, Kim and Geoff, still miss her, and plan to place her ashes at her favorite site in Torquay.
We are going to be celebrating your mother this spring in a program about World War II for the Delaware County Historical Society’s “Notable Women of Muncie.” Please feel free to contact us at Muncie100women @ gmail.com
