Donald Ryan Ross

Donald Ryan Ross passed away peacefully on Friday morning, June 2nd, at the age of 93. Born in Staten Island, NY on July 30, 1923, the eldest son of Stuart and Mary Ross, he had 12 siblings and served in the U. S. military, during World War II. Don was known for his energetic personality and sense of humor. Living in Atlanta’s Brookhaven community and attending Saint Martin-in-the-Fields Episcopal Church for most of his adult life, Don held several executive positions in the Insurance Industry, most notably with Hanover Insurance Company. He is survived by his children, Alan, Nancy, Ryan, and Doug, his grandchildren Ryan Ross, Ross and Thomas Righi, and Ryley Ross, and his sisters, Joan Spratt, Valerie Cronin, and Gwendolyn Ross; he was preceded in death by Eileen, his loving wife of 52 years, and Inge’ Seebohm, his devoted fiancée of 13 years. A Celebration of Life will be held on June 24th from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Assoc.
