I hunted with Don in Wilkes County at Don Carters farm. He was always a pleasure to be around and was always willing to help, if needed. I was lucky enough to speak with him a few weeks ago at Longstreet , he gave me a report on his health issues and issues of some of the others we hunted with. I am glad I got to know Don and call him a friend.
Don Wade was like family. We hunted together for about 34 years first in Hiawassee, then in Wilkes County, GA. My two sons adored him. Deer season without Don Wade won’t be the same.
Get a fire going, Scout the deer sign. We’ll be along in a little while.
Donnie and I met at YHC and renewed our friendship when I moved to Gainesville 20 years ago. It was a good day when I saw him about town. My thoughts are with you, Ruth, and your family.
