Darline Mona Davis
Darline Mona Davis, formerly of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, died Friday afternoon, November 10, 2017, at her apartment at Sunrise of Buckhead Assisted Living, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was 94. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Ann Carter (Alex) of Decatur, Georgia, her son, Leo Earl Davis, Jr. (Pat) of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, and a large family of seven grandchildren, Alexander Lewis Carter, Jr., Roderick Davis Carter (Meg), Lance Earl Davis (Melanie), Todd Campbell Davis (Angela), Ryan Daniel Davis, Shawn Michael Davis, Jessica Davis Mannina (Justin) and eleven great grandchildren, Emma Kate, Davis, Grant, Aleck, Hunter, Shepard, Carter, Ethan, Ashleigh, Savy, and Briggs, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceeded in death by her husband of 67 years, Leo Earl Davis, and her great granddaughter, Paige M. Carter. Darline and Leo will be buried in the Memorial Garden at the Cathedral of St. Philip, Atlanta, Georgia, at a future date.
Darline was a homemaker who moved all over the world with her husband Leo, an Air Force pilot. They and their children lived in Germany and England, and cities in California, and in Massachusetts. They traveled to many countries and states. Darline was an accomplished bridge player, cook, gardener, golfer, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She will be missed by many. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise of Buckhead especially Eppy who cared so lovingly for Darline and Homestead Hospice especially her nurse, Margaret Kraft.
