Dear Judi and Bill: We were shocked to learn of Danille’s passing. We hereby send you our deepest heartfelt condolences. We are privileged to have fond memories of Danielle. We first met her in Pannsylvania when she was only 5 years odl, a bubbly little girl. You then all moved away from Pennsylvania when we moved there in 1978. I, Bing, next saw her in your house in Atlanta when she had grown to be a vivacious young lady of 20, already a college student. A short time later she went for advanced studies in England. I remember writing a letter about her to a professor on the London School of Economics faculty, Brian Abel-Smith. She was of course doing swimmingly well there without ever needing the help of my friend. I wrote that letter for my own sake, as I would have done for my own children. We admire Danielle’s coruage and fortitude in fighting the disease; I have learned much from her and will apply what I learn for myself. She was one of the most giving persons I have ever known. Her love of feline friends, of course, comes in mind; we will honor her memory by contacting the Good Mews Animal Foundation. She always thought of others. She took the time to send me a congratulatory note on the ocassion of an award I undeservedly received. We will miss Danielle dearly. Judi and Bill, please take care of yourselves as Danielle woudl have liked to have you do. If I were in better shape myself, I would come to join you tomorrow. But, as a poor subsitutte, we send you our love and sympathy. Ching-hwa and Bing
