Resided in: Atlanta, GA

With heavy hearts we announce the home-going of Dacia Stephanie Sudduth Bray, 54, of Atlanta, GA on November 3, 2014. In her leadership role at one of Atlanta’s leading non-profit organizations, SafeHouse Outreach SHO, Dacia has touched countless lives of those who live in the margins of society. She personified the SHO mission: give a hand up, not just a hand out, and she endeavored tirelessly working for the least, the lost and the left behind. Dacia lived her passion, that all would know their purpose-filled value and are loved simply because they exist. Dacia was intense about helping single mothers break through destructive cycles; that they could succeed in this life on their own terms and then help others do the same.
Dacia is loving wife to Philip Bray, daughter of Charles H. deceased and Jennelle W. Sudduth, mother to Christopher Campbell, Lauren Campbell-Bray, Gracie Bray, Angel Bray, Jon Bray, Josh Bray and Chris Bray, sister to Liz Joe Reid and Brent Sudduth, Gigi to Bethany Campbell, Taylor Bray, Landrie Bray, Carter Bray, Bethany Bray, Audry Bray and Alyssa Bray, Aunt Dacia to Patrick Reid and Alexandra Reid, and a great friend to innumerable others.
She set many of our feet on the path to home-schooling, would pack a bag and travel anywhere at the drop of a hat, and had an extraordinary eye in her photo shoots – a woman of exceptional talent, interest and impact.
Dacia loved God, loved people, and lived her life very well. We miss her dearly.
There will be a memorial service in honor of Dacia at The Tabernacle Assembly of God Church, 1580 Agape Way, Decatur, GA 30035 on Saturday, 11/8/14 at 12:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be most welcome in her honor to SafeHouse Outreach, P.O. Box 54098, Atlanta, GA 30308. Dacia’s biggest

Dacia – Loving you still and sharing a memory with my daughter Taylor of the silly skits you and MaryAnne Turner Browne and I used to make up on our Girl Scout Campouts. Every memory I have of you is one of the most beautiful and delightful laugh filled memories of my childhood. God is lucky to have you home. Love to your family – especially you Liz – my Spartan basketball teammate. Forever your friend – Jill
